To draw again
I started picking up my wacom tablet and opening Illustrator, drawing again and slowly inserting my thoughts and even adding a female, human companion for my cat illustrations.
Drawn into using strong shade or warm colors and in monochrome; probably an accidental decision. He knows the cat character is him, I named the cat after him. Joygi is my virtual cat. He is a Maine Coon by the way.
Our teacher back in college never once liked lines in the subject. “No hard lines, students”. You could see the teacher’s nostrils flare up if he sees you inking your work. “Blend the colors. And don’t give me empty background”. Joygi knows this well. He was my seatmate back then. Probably they both met there already in heaven; my Joygi and my teacher. They are probably discussing color theory with the million specs of colors that is not even visible to the naked eye here. What a wondrous place heaven is. It should be. It is good to draw again.
Missing him terribly.
Here are the current sketches and final art that I made. Maybe I could improve it more. I am just glad my wacom still works and I still know how to sketch.
